Surrealist and contemporary artist Nadia lives and works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Having been self-taught from a very early age, she now works as an independent artist.

Nadia received prizes in her early 20s in recognition of her innate talent. She has believed since a young age that "images are more powerful than words". The way the world is portrayed through other people's eyes has always fascinated Nadia. The Latrobe Art Center and Greensburg Art Events have also recognized her work with various awards.

Restrained

Created in 2021; When I post on social media, it always seems like I'm being judged constantly. Take breaks from social media sometimes, and don't let it dictate what you should or shouldn't do. Nowadays social media dominates our lives. Therefore, I drew an illustration depicting what it feels like to be constantly watched.

Gift Of Time

You will benefit from learning time management skills as an adult. Deadlines can sneak up on you more quickly than you think. The picture, which depicts how time is both a blessing and a curse, was drawn in 2021.

Stagnant

From 2020, the drawing was meant to represent the feeling of not changing or updating; being completely static. What a horrible feeling. Despite the fact that we are constantly changing, I want to be the best version of myself at all times and feel low when I do things that I used to do that are looked down upon. The drawing was drawn during these times when I felt stagnant.

Nothing's Perfect

This drawing is from 2021; the wonky lines and imperfect coloring show that things can still be seen despite not being perfect. Likewise, it is possible to create working situations for love if they are willing to put in the effort.

Better Version

Drawing from 2021 - In the present moment — different versions of you. Despite our aspirations, we may not appear to be what we think we are. At times, I see myself as an angel, but in reality, I am anything but. I'm not a saint, but I'm at least decent, and when I feel like I'm being rude, I worry about whether I came off strongly. I am constantly thinking about what people will think when I just want to be myself and not care. The right girl represents me in the way I really should be portrayed. What I think I should be is on the left.

Angie

A character designed in 2018 was remastered in 2020. Making a character perceive 3D, but in a 2D drawing program. The character was digitally drawn, not created in a 3D program. The picture on the left is duplicated on the right and her hands and feet are moved to create the illusion that she is able to move.

Quan

The character of Quan has been with me ever since I created Brom Island in 2014. Having been split from the same double helix energy source, he has a brother named Quan as well. Each has a distinct personality, with one being calm and one being energetic and ambitious. In a way, they complement each other and build up one another mentally and spiritually.
